In addition to acute care hospitals, MASH works for physicians practices, oncology treatment centers, heart hospitals, long-term care centers and behavioral health facilities from Florida to Nevada.
We connect uninsured patients to government medical benefits so the practice or facility can be reimbursed for uncompensated treatment.
We help uninsured patients to qualify for Medicaid through Supplemental Security Income (SSI), a Social Security Disability program. We also may be able to help Medicare patients qualify for Medicaid through the QMB, or Qualified Medicare Beneficiary, program.
We work quickly and quietly, because the last thing your patients need to worry about is money. MASH doesn’t charge any patient any money. Our fees are paid by the providers if we are successful in getting bills paid.
Our goal is to accurately connect every potential Medicaid/SSI beneficiary who is connectable. The American Cancer Society reports that about one in 13 cancer patients is uninsured; statistically, about one-third of all uninsured patients are eligible for some type of government medical benefits. MASH helps those patients to actually get connected to the proper medical benefits program with the proper timing, ensuring that providers are compensated for services.
